Navarre Area Info

With new scenic roadways, playful parks and affordable fun, Northwest Florida’s Navarre is renewed with new things this spring.

Melt away the winter blues on the sugar-white shores of nature’s last playground – Navarre. With the Santa Rosa Sound to the north, the Gulf of Mexico to the south and the Gulf Islands National Seashore to the east and west, Navarre Beach is a beautiful island oasis for couples and families.

There are plenty of new ways to enjoy the natural beauty of Navarre. The 10-mile passage between Navarre and Pensacola Beach (Earl Bowden Way) carries drivers, hikers and bikers along a stunning stretch of white-sand wonderland.

Dotted with a dozen shaded pavilions, Navarre Beach Park, nestled between the Gulf and the bay, is perfect for an old-fashioned beach picnic.

History buffs can report back to Fort Pickens. Built in 1834, this expansive historic attraction was a prison, where Apache medicine man Geronimo was held captive.

1,500-foot Navarre Fishing Pier is the longest on the Gulf Coast and the Gulf Breeze Zoo, which will be transformed into a safari park.

Reuniting Is Easy, Affordable
Reconnecting with family and friends is easy and affordable here. With a variety of accommodations ranging from hotels, condominiums, vacation homes and campgrounds, Navarre is sure to have something to suit your budget and taste.

With miles of beautiful beach and so many fun ways to enjoy it, Navarre is the sure cure for your spring fever. Kick your vacation into gear with tons of affordable fun. Miles of unobstructed pathways are perfect for biking and hiking. If you are feeling lucky, you’re likely to tempt the likes of snapper, amberjack, grouper and cobia to your line.

Navarre is full of simple pleasures, so go fly a kite, take in an outdoor concert at Navarre Beach or play a round at the Club at Hidden Creek.

Dive into the local scene for delicious dining. Toast the sunset at Juana’s Pagoda, and enjoy a casual seafood dinner at Sailor’s Grill next door. (The Cheese Pillows are heaven!) For fresh sushi in a quaint atmosphere try The Slippery Mermaid. Savor some new spots: California-style Mexican at the Cactus Flower Café,  a bit of everything at Johnny Huston’s. Top a day at the beach with a sweet treat from The Twist – serving up tasty variations on a yummy theme.

No trip to Navarre is complete without treasure hunting at the eclectic Souvenir City & Shark Museum, browsing fabulous finds at Holley Hill Pottery & Art Studio, daydreaming at the Navarre Butterfly House and, of course, strolling along the endless beaches – naturally.

Recently Navarre beach completed a sand re-nourishment project.About 1.6 million cubic yards of sand was places on the beach, increasing the berm by 100 to 200 feet. The restoration project also included restoring the dune crest to a width of 30 feet and placement of native dune plants.
